Villa Carlotta dates back to the eighteenth century, and it is a treat for horticulture aficionados, which I also happen to be. The Roman amphitheatre and Roman baths in Fiesole are ancient to the tune of one B.C. — yes, that is how far they date back. Bikers will want to check out the trails in Florence hill.
