Why You Should Take Notice to Road Signs

Road signs are tactically placed in certain locations to make certain that drivers are kept safe. They tell motorists how fast to drive, what turns to make or what to anticipate ahead on their drive. Good and conscientious drivers have a good idea of what each sign signifies and make it their duty to adhere to them. In fact to get a license student drivers need to know what the signs mean.

One of the most disregarded traffic device by student drivers is the speed limit sign. Many students pay no attention to them. If you do not stay close to the speed limit, your driver’s test may end unsuccessfully. Nonetheless, the majority of examiners will give you a courtesy warning.

The “No Entry” sign is a sign that can be misleading and so careful attention must be given when these signs are observed. As a student driver you should be prepared to make a turn whenever you see a no entry sign ahead at the end of the road. Entering an area that you are not supposed to enter or making an abrupt turn is a surefire way to fail your driving test so be on the lookout for these signs.

Another device that is generally ignored by student drivers is the stop sign. Several drivers don’t prepare themselves to come to a stop. They either completely disregard the “stop” or they try to abruptly come to a stop with no reduction in speed. Sometimes, a driver will see the stop sign but will only slow down without coming to a complete stop. These mistakes may cause you to fail your driving test.

A lot of student drivers fail to yield when they come to a “Yield” sign specially when entering the interstate. Although drivers aren’t required to come to a stop when getting close to a “Yield” sign, some student drivers do not check their surroundings and pull out in front of cars thinking they’ve got the right of way. This can be a hazard causing an accident and/or not getting your license. Road and traffic control signs are crucial and should be taken seriously even after the completion of your driving test. They are useful all through your entire driving experience. Road signs are essential to the safety of every driver. Road signs are responsible for creating order and presenting important information to drivers. When they are missing or negligently maintained, they create hazardous situations for drivers. Municipalities and states are in charge of maintaining and setting up these signs for the security of their motorists.

The street signs created long ago to prevent accidents. The road signs helps us navigate on the road, prevents crash and helps you reach your destination.

About Caravan Vacations And Holiday Parks

For those in need of a decent holiday without a large budget, caravan vacations are perhaps the best choice. Countries like the UK have a huge number of caravan parks that are to found in every county, so it’s a bit hard to find the right one. A little study of the standard facilities on offer in a caravan park may prove to be very instructive.

First thing to do would be to cast away any perceived notions of this being like what is popularly known as trailer trash in America. Caravans and caravan parks in the UK are more like holiday resorts - well equipped and modern. Each one will most likely have at least a shower, kitchen, tv and a home theatre system.

The parks the caravans are located in aren’t that shabby either, and offer all kinds of upscale facilities that would fit in neatly into any good resort. This includes an onsite restaurant and a pool. The immediate surroundings will have plenty of additional facilities, such as playgrounds for children and entertainment areas, cafes, bars, etc for the adults.

Facilities apart, there’s also the destination itself. As mentioned above, there are bucket loads of holiday parks everywhere in the UK. Travelers have a wide choice, from the biting beauty of the Highlands in Scotland to the carnival like tourist atmosphere in Nottinghamshire. The beach destinations along the coast in Dover and Cornwall have their own peculiar attraction.

Another thing that can set parks apart is the cost, including that of the facilities that each park offers. But the main cost is the actual rental of the caravan at the park, unless of course the traveler owns one and can haul it around. Best part is that the caravans are usually around 60″ to 65″ long, which means it’s big enough to accommodate a large family or a group, so costs can be shared.

Even so, daily and weekly rates for static caravans are quite low, compared to what a hotel room would cost. The only thing to keep an eye on is the extras. If the park is greedy, it can turn into a big tab quickly. Another thing worth checking on would be whether the park is pet friendly and if there are any restrictions or charges or pet policies.

Those who don’t own their own caravan or haven’t tried staying in a caravan park before should do so at least once, in order to get the experience. It is like an acquired taste, and travelers will get used to the cheap rates, freedom and comfort of caravan vacations. After that, it is hard to go back to a small hotel room and pay so much for it.

Pacific Northwest Travel Guide - Cascade Mountains, WA

Cascade Mountains, WA . In July Cindy and I drove through the Cascade Mountains of Washington on an absolutely gorgeous summer day. Hot, with temperature in the 90’s and clear skies, perfect road trip. For anyone looking for a memorable road trip, this is highly recommended. The roads are excellent and Washington State has many cost advantages to it’s northern neighbor. Fuel, accommodations and food cost less (just see how many Canadians go cross border shopping) and there are a lot of parks along the way to enjoy the outdoors. We encountered some motorcycles, recreational vehicles and even bicycles taking this route. Music: Slow mind by Alexander Blu creativecommons.org
