Morehouse College
Morehouse College is the only private, historically african american liberal arts college for men within the US. Founded in 1867, the college is located just minutes from downtown on a 66 acre campus within the historic West End part of Atlanta. Morehouse College is part of the Atlanta University Center, which is the largest consortium of black universites and colleges in the world. Other institutions within the group are Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, the Interdenominational Theological Center, and the Morehouse School of Medicine. NASCAR, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, was founded in 1948 by Bill France, Sr. in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is North America’s largest motorsports sanctioning body. The Sprint Cup Series is NASCAR’s leading series, with the sport’s highest level of professional competition. The best racing talents in the world compete in a 36 race season running from February to November. NASCAR sponsors 2 other national series, the Nationwide Series plus the Camping World Truck Series.
