Dahab interprets as ‘Gold ‘ in Arabic and this casual location about one hour higher of Sharm and a little less than sixty minutes from the international airport is a gem in the Sinai headland. Sharm el Sheikh is tailored much more for visitors unlike Dahab was always a rather more relaxed environment normally where backbackers would travel to hunting for a quieter location. For those in search of a bit of retail therapy, there are several of the common souvenirs available coupled with places to get jewellery, smells and other perfumes. It will always be possible to debate terms with the market stall owners to try to get a deal and haggling can join the shopping experience in almost all of the ordinary outlets irrespective of what they are selling.
Dahab is another terrific start line to head out and discover the Sinai. Snorkelling trips are common as are quad bikes away in the desert.
